Montepeloso A Quo 2021 is an Italian red wine from the Tuscany region, classified as IGT Toscana. The wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malvasia Nera, Montepulciano, Marselan, and Alicante Bouschet. The estate, Montepeloso, is located in Suvereto on the Tuscan coast and was acquired by Swiss winemaker Fabio Chiarelotto in 1998. The grapes are grown in clay soil rich in flint, on vines approximately 10 years old. The winemaking philosophy aims to extract the essential qualities of each grape variety within the blend.

## Wine making process

The Montepeloso A Quo 2021 is produced through a blending of multiple grape varieties, including Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malvasia Nera, Montepulciano, Marselan, and Alicante Bouschet. The grapes are sourced from vines approximately 10 years old, grown in clay soil with flint. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, with 80% of the barrels being old and 20% being new. The production volume for the 2021 vintage was 73,000 bottles.
