## About this wine

Altre Món, which translates to 'Another World' in Catalan, is a collaborative creation between the renowned Celler de Capçanes cooperative in Tarragona and California-based importer Winc. Located in the rugged, high-altitude Montsant region adjacent to Priorat, Celler de Capçanes was established in 1933. The cooperative gained international acclaim in the mid-1990s when it pioneered Kosher winemaking in Spain, which elevated the global standing of the entire estate. This cuvée represents a modern expression of classic Catalan mountain viticulture, crafted for accessible, everyday enjoyment.

## Food pairing

The bright acidity and soft, integrated tannins of this Montsant blend make it versatile with savory, herb-forward Mediterranean dishes. Roasted meats and earthy mushrooms complement the natural fruit intensity, while moderate tannins cut through the fat of pork and medium-aged cheeses without overwhelming subtle flavors.

## Wine making process

Grapes for this blend are sustainably grown and hand-harvested from high-altitude vineyards planted on clay, limestone, and granite soils at elevations between 200 and 500 meters. The wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats to highlight fresh varietal aromatics and vibrant mountain fruit. Following fermentation, the wine rests briefly in neutral oak barrels and concrete vessels to develop texture without overwhelming the fruit with heavy oak flavors.
