## About this wine

Fora In Vigna is an artisanal micro-project founded in 2020 by Giovanni Bottazzi and Simone Fanton in Nanto, located in the Colli Berici hills of Veneto, Italy. The name 'Fora' translates to 'outside' in the local dialect, signifying a commitment to nature and working outdoors. Sourced from Vigna del Roccolo, a single parcel planted around 1985 on pure limestone with clay topsoils, Bagarre showcases Tai Rosso, a native red variety genetically identical to Grenache.

## Interesting facts

- Bagarre is a cycling term for the wild sprint at the end of a race.
- Tai Rosso is genetically identical to Grenache and Cannonau.
- The estate covers just under 2 hectares and produces around 8,000 bottles total.

## Food pairing

The light-to-medium body, high acidity, and fine tannins of Tai Rosso make it exceptional with rich proteins and earth-driven flavors like mushrooms and roasted pork. Chilling the wine slightly enhances its crisp red fruit, allowing it to cut through fat without dominating delicate savory dishes.

## Wine making process

Grapes are organically farmed and harvested early by hand in small crates to retain fresh natural acidity. In the cellar, 100% hand-destemmed grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts on the skins for 7 to 10 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for 10 months entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks without oak contact, preserving soil minerality and fruit purity. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.
