## Wine making process

The Fontanafredda Barolo Serralunga d'Alba 2020 is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Hand-harvested in early October, the grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a floating cap for about 15 days, followed by an additional 15 days of skin contact for extraction. Malolactic fermentation is then completed. The wine is aged for 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels or Allier oak barriques, followed by a minimum of 12 months of bottle maturation. Fontanafredda practices organic farming and is committed to sustainable viticulture.
