## About this wine

Domaine Bargemone, historically founded by Templar Knights in the 13th century, is located in Saint-Cannat, Provence. Today managed by the Einaudi family, the estate covers over 160 acres under certified organic farming. Bascule represents Bargemone's first 100% Certified Natural wine cuvée (Vin Méthode Nature). The cuvée name originates from a lighthearted family story during harvest when the winemaker's father accidentally tipped over from the top of a ladder placed on the vat.

## Interesting facts

- The cuvée name 'Bascule' (tipping over) references the winemaker's father accidentally falling off a ladder into a vat during harvest.
- Domaine Bargemone was originally founded by the Templar Knights in the 13th century in Saint-Cannat, Provence.
- This wine holds official 'Vin Méthode Nature' certification with zero added sulfites and no filtration.

## Food pairing

Thanks to its light tannins, vibrant acidity, and fresh carbonic fruit profile, this natural Syrah defies classic red wine rules by pairing beautifully with lighter white fish and seafood, as well as young cheeses and fresh pasta dishes.

## Wine making process

Sourced exclusively from the Noailles parcel on clay-limestone soils, the grapes are hand-harvested early in the morning. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats using whole clusters via carbonic and semi-carbonic maceration with 100% indigenous yeasts. Periodic pumping over and rack-and-return methods are utilized without fining, filtration, or added sulfites before bottling.
