## About this wine

Beckham Estate Vineyard was established by Andrew and Annedria Beckham in Oregon's Chehalem Mountains AVA. Situated on Parrett Mountain, the estate is renowned for combining viticulture with ceramics. Andrew Beckham, a former high school ceramics instructor turned winemaker, handcrafts terracotta amphorae directly on the vineyard property. The estate follows organic and biodynamic dry-farming principles on volcanic soils to express authentic Willamette Valley terroir.

## Interesting facts

- Winemaker Andrew Beckham hand-crafts the clay amphorae used for fermenting the wine on the estate.
- The vineyard is dry-farmed organically and uses biodynamic methods, including sheep grazing between rows.
- Production is limited to small boutique lots, often totaling under 300 cases per vintage.

## Food pairing

The high, vibrant acidity and crisp citrus personality of this wine cut through rich seafood and accentuate herbs, while balancing the tangy profile of fresh goat cheese.

## Wine making process

The estate Sauvignon Blanc is hand-harvested and fermented using only native wild yeasts present on the grape skins and in the vineyard. Fermentation and aging take place in custom NOVUM® terracotta amphorae handcrafted on-site, alongside neutral French oak barrels. The wine undergoes fine lees aging to enhance texture while preserving freshness and natural acidity, bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur addition.
