## About this wine

Bodvin is the entry-level label of the prestigious Orosz Gábor estate, located in the historic village of Mád within Hungary's legendary Tokaj region. Winemaker Gábor Orosz, who reclaimed his family's historic vines in 1995 after decades of state control, created the Bodvin line to showcase a more playful, accessible side of Tokaj. The 'Katicás Partyvonal 1.0' (featuring a friendly ladybug on the label) is designed as a casual, highly approachable wine that brings people together without the formality often associated with the region's historic crus.

## Interesting facts

- Winemaker Gábor Orosz nicknamed this blend his 'csajozós bor' (flirting wine) due to its highly accessible, charmingly aromatic profile.
- The name 'Partyvonal' translates to 'Party Line' and features a screw cap specifically so drinkers do not need to carry a corkscrew outdoors.
- While this is an entry-level wine, the grapes are grown on the same volcanic soils of Mád that produce some of the world's finest sweet wines.

## Food pairing

The high acidity and vibrant, aromatic profile of this dry white wine make it an exceptional partner for light, fresh dishes. It cuts beautifully through the fat of light grilled meats and fried dishes, while its floral and citrus notes complement fresh herbs, goat cheese, and crisp salads. Its refreshing nature also makes it the ultimate base for a traditional Hungarian wine spritzer (fröccs).

## Wine making process

This wine is crafted using modern, reductive winemaking techniques to preserve the vibrant primary fruit characteristics of the grapes. The hand-harvested Furmint and Sárgamuskotály grapes are sourced from estate plots in Mád, characterized by volcanic soils rich in rhyolite, dacite tufa, and zeolite. Fermentation takes place entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. To maintain its crisp, youthful profile and aromatic intensity, the wine is aged briefly in tank without any oak contact, and is bottled under a convenient screw cap to ensure freshness and ease of opening.
