## About this wine

Antonella Corda founded her estate in Serdiana to honor her family's deep agricultural roots in southern Sardinia. As the granddaughter of Antonio Argiolas, a legendary figure in Sardinian wine history, Antonella inherited a profound respect for the land. She established her boutique winery to showcase a modern, elegant interpretation of traditional Sardinian varieties. The estate focuses on sustainable viticulture, utilizing the unique limestone-rich soils and cooling Mediterranean breezes of the region to craft wines of exceptional balance, freshness, and character.

## Interesting facts

- Founder Antonella Corda is the granddaughter of Antonio Argiolas, one of Sardinia's most famous winemaking pioneers.
- The vineyards are planted on unique 'ciottoloso' soils, which are rich in pebbles and gravel, offering excellent drainage.
- A small addition of Syrah (10%) is blended with the Cannonau to enhance the wine's color and mid-palate structure.

## Food pairing

The wine's bright acidity and moderate, silky tannins cut through the richness of roasted meats and game, while its red fruit and white pepper notes beautifully complement earthy mushrooms and aged sheep cheeses like Pecorino.

## Wine making process

The grapes are sourced from the Mitza S'Ollastu vineyard, characterized by gravelly, pebbly soils with sand, clay, and loam. Following a meticulous manual harvest, the grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. To preserve the vibrant primary fruit characteristics and elegant floral profile of the Cannonau grape, the wine is aged primarily in stainless steel, with a small portion matured in used French oak barrels for several months to add subtle complexity and soften the tannins before bottling.
