## About this wine

Champagne Marie Courtin was established in 2000 by Dominique Moreau in the village of Polisot in the Côte des Bar region of southern Champagne. The domain is named in honor of Moreau's grandmother, Marie Courtin, whom she remembered as a strong woman deeply rooted in the land. Moreau farms a small single-vineyard estate using certified organic and biodynamic practices, focusing on single-varietal, single-vintage, single-parcel expressions that reflect the unique Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils of the region.

## Interesting facts

- Winemaker Dominique Moreau uses bio-energetic pendulums in the vineyard to evaluate vine vitality and optimal harvest timing.
- The estate is named after Moreau's grandmother, Marie Courtin, a revered family matriarch and 'woman of the earth.'
- The cuvée name 'Concordance' refers to the perfect harmony between pure Pinot Noir terroir, biodynamic farming, and zero-sulfite winemaking.

## Food pairing

The combination of high natural acidity, vibrant mineral drive, and complete lack of residual sugar allows this vinous Blanc de Noirs to slice through rich lipids like duck fat and aged cheese. Simultaneously, its unadulterated purity complements raw iodine-rich seafood without overwhelming delicate flavors.

## Wine making process

The Concordance cuvée is crafted entirely from old-vine Pinot Noir planted in 1968 via massale selection. Grapes undergo gentle pneumatic pressing followed by spontaneous primary and malolactic fermentations using native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is bottled completely sans soufre (without added sulfites) and receives no dosage (0 g/l). It ages on its fine lees in bottle for a minimum of 36 months before manual disgorgement.
