## About this wine

Château Pradeau-Mazeau is an estate located in the hilly commune of Targon, within the Entre-Deux-Mers sub-region of Bordeaux. Managed by the Mazeau family, the estate represents five generations of winemaking tradition, currently led by Oriane Mazeau alongside Philippe and Xavier. The property spans 20 hectares of siliceous and calcareous clay soils. Because the Entre-Deux-Mers AOC is strictly reserved for dry white wines, the estate's red wines are classified under the broader Bordeaux AOC, offering consumers an estate-grown, Right Bank-style blend at an exceptional value.

## Interesting facts

- Managed by the fifth generation of the Mazeau family, the estate operates under the philosophy 'Par amour du vin' (For the love of wine).
- Because Entre-Deux-Mers AOC is white-only, this high-quality red is classified as Bordeaux AOC, offering incredible value.
- The 2022 vintage won multiple gold medals, including at the Concours International de Lyon and the Frankfurt International Trophy.

## Food pairing

This medium-to-full-bodied red Bordeaux blend pairs excellently with rich, savory dishes. The moderate tannins and fresh acidity cut through the fat of roasted and grilled meats, while the wine's earthy undertones complement mushroom-based dishes and aged hard cheeses.

## Wine making process

The grapes are harvested from late September to mid-October using plot-by-plot parcel management to ensure optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve fresh fruit characteristics. The wine is then aged entirely in subterranean, glass-walled concrete vats, remaining 100% unoaked to maintain fruit purity and the authentic expression of the terroir.
