## About this wine

Gober & Freinbichler was founded by winemakers Dominik Gober and Gerald Freinbichler, who met while working at the renowned estate of Franz Weninger. Starting from a modest cellar in Horitschon, they acquired certified organic vineyards across stony and loamy sites in Horitschon and Neckenmarkt within Mittelburgenland. This bottling was created in collaboration with importer Vom Boden as part of their Vineyard Project (VP004), designed specifically as an effortless, low-alcohol red crafted to be served chilled.

## Interesting facts

- Winemakers Dominik Gober and Gerald Freinbichler were named Discovery of the Year by Gault & Millau.
- Created as part of US importer Vom Boden's specialized Vineyard Project series (VP004).
- Formulated specifically for low tannin extraction and lower histamine levels to excel when chilled.

## Food pairing

This vibrant, low-tannin red wine thrives when served chilled alongside light, refreshing, or savory dishes. High acid and soft structural elements complement goat cheese, delicate poultry, charcuterie, and grilled vegetables without overpowering them.

## Wine making process

The organically farmed grapes are hand-harvested at lower potential sugar levels. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with wild yeasts in open vessels and stainless steel. Approximately 70% of the destemmed berries undergo intracellular maceration with brief skin contact to minimize extraction. The wine matures in a combination of stainless steel tanks and neutral used oak barrels before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.
