## About this wine

Ronco dei Tassi was founded in 1989 by Fabio Coser and his wife Daniela in Cormons, situated within Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The winery's name translates to 'terrace of the badgers,' honoring local badgers that frequented the terraced vineyards to feast on sweet grapes. The 'Clic' line was created by winemaker Enrico Coser to offer an accessible, vibrant introduction to Friulian wines.

## Interesting facts

- 'Ronco dei Tassi' translates to 'terrace of the badgers,' named after badgers sneaking into vineyards for ripe grapes.
- In the local Friulian dialect, 'Clic' means 'a small glass of wine to be shared with friends.'
- Designed specifically by young winemaker Enrico Coser to introduce approachable, fresh Friulian reds to new wine lovers.

## Food pairing

Bright natural acidity and gentle tannins make this fresh red an exceptionally versatile partner for flavorful lean meats, game, and cured charcuterie. The acidity cuts through rich poultry skin and aged cheeses while complementing savory pasta sauces without overwhelming delicate proteins.

## Wine making process

Sourced from 28-year-old vines in sandy-clayey, stony soils in Cormons, grapes are hand-harvested in late September. Temperature-controlled fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats. The wine ages in oak barrels for 6 to 14 months, followed by 3 months of bottle aging before release under screw cap.
