## About this wine

Voyager Estate is one of the pioneering estates of the Margaret River region in Western Australia, established in 1978. Renowned for its spectacular Dutch-colonial style architecture and pristine gardens, the estate is fully certified organic. The 'Coastal' Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted to showcase a more vibrant, approachable, and fruit-forward expression of Margaret River Cabernet, heavily influenced by the cooling maritime breezes of the Indian and Southern Oceans. It highlights the estate's commitment to sustainable viticulture and elegant, site-expressive winemaking.

## Interesting facts

- Voyager Estate is 100% certified organic, reflecting a deep commitment to environmental sustainability.
- The 'Coastal' style is specifically crafted to be more approachable in its youth compared to the estate's structured flagship Cabernet.
- Margaret River's maritime climate is highly comparable to Bordeaux, providing ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon.

## Food pairing

This medium-to-full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon pairs exceptionally well with rich proteins and savory dishes. The wine's vibrant acidity cuts through the fat of red meats, while its fine-grained tannins are softened by proteins. Earthy elements in the food, such as mushrooms or rosemary, complement the subtle herbal and oak notes of the wine.

## Wine making process

The grapes are sourced from select organically farmed estate vineyards in Margaret River. Following harvest, the fruit undergoes destemming and gentle crushing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with regular pump-overs to extract color, flavor, and fine tannins. The wine is aged in a combination of French oak barriques (predominantly seasoned oak to preserve the bright fruit profile) and stainless steel for approximately 10 to 12 months before final blending and bottling.
