## About this wine

Established in 1911 by Marko Cota in Oklaj, Dalmatia, Cota Vina is now run by fourth-generation winemaker Petar Cota. Situated near Krka National Park, the estate benefits from a rare triple-climate convergence where Mediterranean, continental, and Dinaric Alps mountain air currents meet. Farming just 0.7 hectares for this cuvée on rocky clay and limestone soils, Cota Vina works strictly according to traditional, low-intervention methods.

## Interesting facts

- The winery was originally built in 1911 by Marko Cota after returning to Croatia from the United States.
- Vineyards are located inside and adjacent to Krka National Park in Dalmatia.
- The vines benefit from three converging microclimates: Mediterranean, continental, and Dinaric mountain air.
- Produced with zero added sulfur dioxide and bottled unfined and unfiltered.

## Food pairing

The wine's bright acidity, medium body, and dry mineral profile pair seamlessly with fresh seafood, cured meats, and savory Mediterranean dishes without overpowering delicate flavors or clashing with high fats.

## Wine making process

L'Apacha Rosé is produced from 100% hand-harvested Merlot grapes. The fruit undergoes direct pressing before initiating spontaneous fermentation with wild, indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged entirely in stainless steel tanks to preserve fresh fruit purity, and bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero added sulfur dioxide.
