## About this wine

Crios is the signature family line from Susana Balbo, Argentina's trailblazing first female winemaker graduate. Named 'Crios' (meaning offspring) as a tribute to her children, José and Ana, who now work alongside her at the estate, this wine represents legacy and generational passion. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards in the prestigious Uco Valley of Mendoza, this Rosé of Malbec benefits from intense sunlight and cool mountain nights, resulting in a wine of exceptional balance, purity, and fresh regional character.

## Interesting facts

- Created by Susana Balbo, Argentina's first female enologist, as a tribute to her children.
- The iconic handprints on the label represent a mother's loving guidance and her children's growth.
- Unlike many traditional rosés, this is made from 100% Malbec, offering a unique, vibrant red-fruit profile with crisp acidity.

## Food pairing

This fresh and vibrant dry rosé pairs beautifully with light summer dishes, seafood, and mildly spicy cuisine. Its crisp acidity cuts through oils and fats, while its bright red fruit notes complement fresh herbs and light proteins.

## Wine making process

The Malbec grapes are hand-harvested early from select high-altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley to preserve vibrant natural acidity. Upon arrival at the winery, they undergo a short cold maceration of a few hours to extract a delicate pale pink color. The juice is then gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh primary red fruit aromas and crisp finish.
