## About this wine

Delamotte Brut is a non-vintage Champagne from Maison Delamotte, established in 1760. The wine originates from the Champagne region of France, with a focus on grapes from the Côte des Blancs, including Grand Cru villages. Delamotte is recognized for its dedication to Chardonnay and its elegant, refined style, reflecting the unique chalky terroir of its sourcing regions. The house operates with a philosophy of quality and meticulous craftsmanship, being the sister house to Champagne Salon.

## Interesting facts

- One of the oldest Champagne houses, founded in 1760.
- Sister house to the highly exclusive Champagne Salon.
- A significant portion of its grapes come from Grand Cru vineyards.
- Aged on lees for at least 30-36 months, far exceeding legal minimums.

## Food pairing

The wine's bright acidity and minerality cut through the richness of seafood and creamy sauces, while its subtle fruit notes complement lighter poultry and cheeses. The effervescence cleanses the palate, making it a versatile companion for a variety of textures and flavors.

## Wine making process

Delamotte Brut is produced using a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats. A key aspect of its production is the extended aging on lees, lasting a minimum of 30 to 36 months, which is considerably longer than the industry standard for non-vintage Brut Champagne. Following aging, a light dosage of sugar is added before the wine is released.
