## About this wine

Vincent Tricot originally studied oenology in Beaujolais in the early 1990s, where he trained alongside natural wine pioneers under the influence of Jules Chauvet and Marcel Lapierre. In 2002, Vincent and his wife Marie relocated to Orcet in Auvergne, drawn by the unique volcanic soils and pre-phylloxera vines of the region. They have built a reputation for producing energetic, low-intervention wines that highlight the distinct basaltic terroir of Auvergne.

## Interesting facts

- Vincent Tricot trained in Beaujolais under natural wine pioneers inspired by Jules Chauvet.

- Domaine Marie et Vincent Tricot has made all wines without added sulfites since 2011.

## Food pairing

The high acidity and volcanic mineral edge cut effortlessly through rich seafood, fried textures, and creamy goat cheese, while the aromatic floral and peach notes complement mild spicy heat in Thai and Asian cuisine.

## Wine making process

The 2025 vintage is crafted from organically grown Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, and Aligoté vines rooted in volcanic basalt and clay-limestone soils. Muscat Ottonel and Chardonnay are co-fermented spontaneously using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, while direct-pressed Aligoté is blended into the fermenting mix. The wine matures briefly on its fine lees without oak influence, bottled unfined, unfiltered, and completely free of added sulfur dioxide.
