## About this wine

Domaine Tempier is an iconic estate in Provence, family-owned since 1834. World renown was brought to the domain by Lucie Lulu Tempier and her husband Lucien Peyraud, who was instrumental in establishing Bandol's AOC status in 1941. Today, under winemaker Antoine Cunin and executive director Daniel Ravier, the estate remains committed to organic farming and low-intervention methods across its terraced coastal vineyards facing the Mediterranean Sea.

## Interesting facts

- Lucien Peyraud is considered the godfather of Bandol AOC for championing the Mourvèdre grape variety.
- Unlike most Provençal rosés dominated by Grenache or Cinsault, Tempier Rosé is built around over 50% Mourvèdre.
- The wine is produced from 100% hand-harvested, certified organic fruit grown on natural terraced slopes.

## Food pairing

The wine's crisp acidity, medium weight, and subtle savory herbal backbone make it a seamless match for Mediterranean coastal cuisine. It cuts through rich seafood soups while complementing grilled proteins, olive oil, garlic, and fresh herbs.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested from organically farmed vines averaging 20 years of age, the fruit is strictly sorted and fully destemmed. The rosé blend undergoes direct pressing for 65% of the juice and short skin-contact maceration for 35%. Fermentation occurs spontaneously using native yeasts in stainless steel and concrete tanks at low temperatures. Malolactic fermentation is blocked to preserve vibrant freshness. The wine ages 6 to 8 months on fine lees in concrete and stainless steel vats with no oak contact.
