## About this wine

The Marigny was established in Oregon's Willamette Valley by winemaker Andrew 'Andy' Reginald Young, a former New Orleans rock drummer who relocated to Oregon to pursue low-intervention winemaking. Operating under both St. Reginald Parish and The Marigny banners, Young's winery reflects an approachable and creative philosophy. Created in collaboration with chef Molly Baz, the 'Drink This Wine' series is designed for playful, unpretentious, high-energy enjoyment suited for everyday dining and social gatherings.

## Interesting facts

- Winemaker Andy Young transitioned to Oregon winemaking following a career as a New Orleans rock drummer.
- The 'Drink This Wine' series was developed in collaboration with acclaimed chef and author Molly Baz.
- Each component grape variety undergoes between 9 and 21 days of skin-contact fermentation.

## Food pairing

Vibrant acidity and gentle skin-contact texture cut through fried coatings and rich fats, while the aromatic profile enhances herbal and citrus-driven dishes.

## Wine making process

Sourced from organically farmed vineyards in the Willamette Valley planted on volcanic and loess soils, the grapes are hand-harvested and vinified naturally. Each variety—Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Sauvignon Blanc—undergoes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts on its skins for 9 to 21 days. The wine ages primarily in stainless steel tanks, with roughly 10% matured in neutral French oak barrels, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal added sulfur.
