## About this wine

Annamária Réka Koncz established her project in Barabás, Northeastern Hungary near the Ukrainian border, after completing her Master's degree in Denmark. Returning to her native region in 2015, she acquired old, abandoned vineyards and became the sole commercial natural wine producer in this historically overlooked area. The wine's title 'Eastern Accents' serves as a playful homage to Tom Petty's album 'Southern Accents'.

## Food pairing

The high electric acidity and subtle tannic grip from short skin maceration allow this natural orange wine to cut through fatty pork and oily fish, while seamlessly complementing spicy East Asian flavors.

## Wine making process

Organically and regeneratively farmed grapes are harvested by hand. The Hárslevelű undergoes a two-week whole-cluster maceration in closed vessels, while the Furmint is largely direct-pressed with a minor skin-contact portion. Spontaneous fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in top-open plastic and fiberglass vessels. The wine matures entirely without oak and is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.
