## About this wine

Vino Potable was founded in 2023 by winemaker Laura Sinisterra and her partner Garret in Chile's historic Itata Valley. Operating as a small négociant project, the estate collaborates directly with local farming families who have tended ancient, ungrafted vines for generations. The initiative combines whimsical naming with minimal-intervention natural winemaking. 'Vino del Amor y Perreo' translates to 'The Wine of Love and Perreo,' named in celebration of reggaeton music and joyful movement, crafted from dry-farmed vines planted on granitic soils near the Pacific coast.

## Interesting facts

- Sourced from ungrafted centenarian bush vines aged between 100 and 150 years.
- Combines skin-macerated white Muscat with direct-pressed red País grape juice.
- The name references reggaeton culture and translates to 'The Wine of Love and Perreo'.
- Dry-farmed and harvested entirely by hand without heavy machinery.

## Food pairing

The bright acidity and aromatic intensity of this skin-contact orange wine make it uniquely suited for vibrant, spice-driven cuisines. The subtle phenolic grip balances lightly fried dishes while complementarily cutting through oily fish and citrus-marinated seafood without overwhelming delicate flavors.

## Wine making process

The grapes originate from centenarian bush vines in the coastal Itata region. Winemaking involves a dual approach: two-thirds Muscat of Alexandria undergoes 15 days of skin maceration, while one-third red País grapes are directly pressed. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. The wine is aged strictly in neutral vessels without oak contact, remains unfined and unfiltered, and receives only minimal sulfur additions prior to bottling.
