## About this wine

The Finca Andinos line pays tribute to early pre-Hispanic agriculturalists in the Andean valleys who established pioneering irrigation systems using mountain meltwater, laying the foundation for high-altitude viticulture in Mendoza. Produced under the direction of the Zuccardi family winemaking team at La Agrícola S.A., this estate-bottled wine highlights high-altitude terroirs situated around 1,000 meters above sea level near the Andes Mountains.

## Interesting facts

- Finca Andinos honors ancient pre-Hispanic irrigation techniques that harnessed Andean meltwater for high-altitude farming.
- Vineyards sit around 1,000 meters in altitude, experiencing daily temperature swings of up to 20°C.
- Produced by La Agrícola S.A., part of the renowned Zuccardi family estate in Mendoza.

## Food pairing

The supple tannins, vibrant acidity, and dark fruit concentration of Malbec pair seamlessly with rich, protein-heavy dishes like grilled red meats and lamb. The fats in the meat soften the wine's tannins, while its fresh acidity cuts through richness. Light seafood or excessively spicy dishes should be avoided as they can clash or be overpowered.

## Wine making process

Grapes are harvested at optimal maturity and undergo classic red winemaking in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using selected yeast strains. Maceration on the skins lasts between 7 and 10 days to gently extract color and soft tannins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to retain fresh primary fruit notes, complemented by partial French oak contact for added structure and subtle spice nuances.
