## About this wine

Flui is a collaborative project between viticulturist Emanuel Frutuoso, who tends organically farmed vineyards near %bidos, and self-taught natural winemaker Rodrigo Filipe of Humus (Encosta da Quinta). Located in the Atlantic-influenced region of Lisboa, Portugal, the estate produces low-intervention natural wines that express cool maritime freshness and native grape varieties.

## Interesting facts

- Winemaker Rodrigo Filipe left a career in civil engineering in 1999 to revitalize his grandfather's 1960 family estate.
- The wine undergoes a 3-month skin contact maceration in stainless steel to extract texture without oak influence.
- Flui is a collaboration highlighting old organic vines from the Atlantic maritime region of %bidos.

## Food pairing

The wine's vibrant Atlantic acidity and subtle skin-contact phenolic texture allow it to cut through rich, fatty seafood and pork dishes while harmonizing with earthy mushroom risottos and aged semi-hard cheeses.

## Wine making process

Hand-picked organic grapes undergo 3 months of skin-contact maceration in temperature-neutral stainless steel tanks. Fermentation occurs spontaneously using ambient indigenous yeasts. After pressing, the wine ages for 9 months in stainless steel tanks to retain pure fruit and Atlantic character before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with low total sulfur.
