## About this wine

Folklore Albariño is a project by Bodegas Muriel celebrating iconic Spanish grape varieties and regional heritage. Produced at the Pazo Cilleiro facility in the Salnés Valley sub-region of DO Rías Baixas, the wine is created in collaboration with distributor Vining and winemaker Pepe Rodríguez. The packaging draws inspiration from Galician street festivities and traditional music, capturing the coastal Atlantic spirit of northwestern Spain.

## Interesting facts

- The label design by Moruba is inspired by traditional Galician folklore, dance, and street festivities.
- While Albariño is grown in nearby Portugal, this specific bottling originates from Galicia's Val do Salnés.
- Aged four months on fine lees in stainless steel to enhance texture and body without oak influence.

## Food pairing

The high natural acidity and coastal minerality of this Albariño complement delicate seafood and shellfish, while citrus notes slice through oily fish and young cheeses.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested grapes are grown on decomposed granite and sandy loam soils in the Val do Salnés sub-region. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks between 16°C and 18°C to retain vibrant primary aromas. After fermentation, the wine undergoes four months of fine lees aging ('sur lie') in stainless steel vats to build structural texture and complexity without oak contact.
