## About this wine

Gheppio Roero Arneis is a white wine produced by Cantina Terre del Barolo, a cooperative winery established in 1958 in Piedmont. The wine is made from 100% Arneis grapes, a native varietal that thrives in the Roero region. The Roero hills are known for their sandy soils, which contribute to the wine's character. Cantina Terre del Barolo represents the collective efforts of over 300 winegrowers who cultivate approximately 600 hectares of vineyards, aiming to showcase the unique terroirs of the Langhe.

## Food pairing

The wine's medium body and bright acidity make it versatile. It can cut through the richness of creamy sauces and complement the delicate flavors of seafood and white meats. Its subtle almond notes can echo flavors in certain dishes.

## Wine making process

The Gheppio Roero Arneis is vinified from 100% Arneis grapes. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, typically between 14-16°C, to preserve the wine's aromatic qualities. Following fermentation, the wine usually ages on its lees in stainless steel tanks to enhance texture and freshness. Malolactic fermentation is generally avoided. Harvest for the Arneis grapes usually occurs in late September or early October.
