## About this wine

Tua Rita Giusto di Notri 2022 is a Toscana IGT red wine from the esteemed Tua Rita winery, established in 1984. The wine is a Bordeaux-inspired blend, primarily featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, with contributions from Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The estate is situated in Suvereto, Tuscany, on clayey soils with a pebble fraction, influenced by the nearby sea. The Giusto di Notri wine is named in honor of the patron saint of Suvereto and the winery's vineyard in Notri, reflecting a connection to local identity and the land.

## Interesting facts

- Named after the patron saint of Suvereto, the wine honors the local heritage.
- The blend is inspired by Bordeaux, but distinctly Tuscan in its expression.
- The estate gained international fame with its Merlot 'Redigaffi'.

## Food pairing

The wine's full body and robust tannins are well-suited to rich, protein-heavy dishes. The tannins bind with the proteins in meat, softening the wine and making the food taste richer. The wine's complexity can stand up to and complement the intense flavors of game and slow-cooked meats.

## Wine making process

The Tua Rita Giusto di Notri 2022 is produced from grapes grown in Suvereto, Tuscany, on clayey soils with a pebble fraction. The vines are trained using the spurred cordon system. Harvest is conducted by hand into 15 kg crates. Vinification includes maceration of grape skins and juice for up to 30 days to enhance intensity. The wine is aged for approximately 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels, with some usage of first and second passage barrels. Following barrel aging, it rests in the bottle for a few months before release.
