## About this wine

Glorioso is a historic brand first registered in 1917 by Bodegas Cosme Palacio, a pioneering winery founded in 1894 in Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa. As one of the founding members of the DOCa Rioja, the estate played a pivotal role in the 'Nuevos Riojas' revolution of the late 1980s. By collaborating with French consultant Michel Rolland, they shifted the region's focus toward rich fruit expression and high-quality French oak aging. This Crianza represents a modern classic, showcasing the unique character of high-altitude Tempranillo grown in clay-limestone soils.

## Food pairing

This Crianza offers a balanced structure with medium acidity and smooth tannins, making it highly versatile. It pairs beautifully with grilled white meats and medium-aged cheeses, while its fresh acidity allows it to cut through the richness of oily fish like salmon or cod prepared in traditional Spanish styles.

## Wine making process

The grapes are destemmed and undergo a cold pre-fermentative maceration to extract vibrant color and primary fruit aromas. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by a complete malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 12 to 13 months in carefully selected French and American oak barrels, followed by an additional 6 to 10 months of bottle aging before release to ensure optimal integration and smoothness.
