## About this wine

Bodegas Granbazán was founded in 1981 by the Otero family in Vilanova de Arousa and played a key role in modernizing Rías Baixas viticulture. The French château-style estate, known as Finca Tremoedo, produces this quintessential benchmark wine representing the Val do Salnés sub-region. Sourced from over 100 micro-plots with vines averaging over 35 years old grown on granite soils, it expresses the Atlantic maritime climate of coastal Galicia.

## Interesting facts

- Vineyards are trained in traditional Galician high pergolas (parral) to maximize airflow and combat coastal humidity.
- Granbazán was built as a French château-style winery (Finca Tremoedo) in Galicia in 1981.
- Certified under the international FAIR'N GREEN standard for sustainable viticulture.

## Food pairing

Vibrant natural acidity and distinct ocean salinity cut through natural oils in fresh seafood, enhancing delicate aquatic flavors while cleansing the palate.

## Wine making process

Grapes are manually harvested in small 17 kg crates. De-stemmed grapes undergo 6 to 8 hours of cold skin maceration prior to pressing. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 15°C to 17°C using free-run juice and light pressings. The wine ages on its fine lees in stainless steel for 4 to 5 months without battonage or oak contact prior to bottling.
