## About this wine

Weingut Birgit Eichinger was established in 1992 in Straß im Straßertale, located in Austria's Kamptal DAC. Managed by founder Birgit Eichinger alongside her daughter Gloria, the 15-hectare estate is a member of the prestigious Österreichische Traditionsweingüter (ÖTW). The winery focuses on crafting clean, expressive single-vineyard wines that highlight their origins. Ried Hasel is situated east of Straß on rolling mid-altitude hills with deep, moisture-retentive loess soils formed from wind-blown calcareous Ice Age silt.

## Food pairing

Grüner Veltliner's crisp acidity and herbal spice cut effortlessly through rich or fried dishes like Wiener Schnitzel and butter sauces, while subtle stone fruit accents harmonize gracefully with fresh seafood, poultry, and lightly spiced Asian dishes.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested grapes undergo a short skin maceration prior to pressing. Fermentation takes place at cool, controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve delicate primary aromatics and vibrancy. The wine is aged on its full lees in stainless steel until bottling in March, adding subtle texture and depth without oak intervention.
