## About this wine

The GT by Partida Creus is a still red wine from the Penedès DO in Catalonia, Spain. It is made exclusively from the indigenous Garrut grape, a variety that the producer, Partida Creus, is actively working to preserve. Founded by former architects Massimo Marchiori and Antonella Gerosa, Partida Creus is committed to organic and biodynamic farming and minimal intervention winemaking. Their philosophy centers on expressing the pure character of the land and reviving native grape varieties. The wine is a testament to this approach, showcasing the unique qualities of Garrut and its Penedès origin.

## Interesting facts

- Garrut is the Catalan name for Monastrell (Spain) or Mourvèdre (France).
- Partida Creus founders were architects before becoming winemakers.
- The wine is made with 100% indigenous yeasts.
- No fining, filtering, or added sulfites are used in production.

## Food pairing

The wine's medium body and ripe fruit notes complement richer dishes, while its bright acidity cuts through fatty meats and sauces. The earthy undertones pair well with roasted meats and mushrooms.

## Wine making process

The GT red wine is produced using 100% hand-harvested Garrut grapes. The winemaking process involves 100% de-stemming followed by a short, 3-day maceration with regular punch-downs. Fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is intentionally not fined or filtered, and no sulfites are added. Aging for the red wine involves a period in stainless steel tanks on fine lees, followed by time in oak barrels to develop complexity and structure.
