Based in Piesport, Haart focuses on micro-parcels of old vines on steep slate slopes. 'Haartattack' is his entry-level Riesling, designed to be incredibly vibrant, accessible, and energetic. It captures the essence of the Mosel's cool-climate terroir with a playful, modern label, offering a perfect introduction to his highly sought-after, artisanal winemaking philosophy.

## Interesting facts

- The winemaker, Julian Haart, apprenticed under iconic producers Klaus Peter Keller (Rheinhessen) and Egon Müller (Saar).
- The name 'Haartattack' is a playful pun on the winemaker's surname and the wine's electrifying, high-acid energy.
- Grapes are grown on steep, slate-heavy slopes of the Mosel, requiring intensive manual labor and hand-harvesting.

## Food pairing

The electric acidity and subtle off-dry sweetness of this Riesling make it an exceptional partner for spicy Asian cuisine, cutting through heat and balancing sweet-and-sour profiles. Its bright citrus notes also complement lean proteins, seafood, and dishes with high acidity or orchard fruit elements.

## Wine making process

Sourced from steep, slate-rich vineyards in the Mosel valley. The grapes are harvested by hand, often from younger vines or parcels not destined for the single-vineyard bottlings. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using native yeasts in a combination of stainless steel tanks and traditional old oak Fuder casks. This minimal-intervention approach preserves the natural tension, electric acidity, and mineral drive of the Riesling grape, with bottling occurring after light filtration.
