## About this wine

Iruai Wine, founded by winemaker Chad Westbrook Hinds, explores high-elevation alpine microclimates in the Shasta-Cascade region along the California-Oregon border. The Lounge Lizard Rosé is sourced from organically grown Cabernet Franc vines at the 4 Diamonds Vineyard in Oregon's Applegate Valley AVA.

## Interesting facts

- The 2025 vintage was limited to a micro-production of just 250 cases worldwide.
- The winery creates custom Spotify playlists for its releases, recommending Fleetwood Mac and Steely Dan for this cuvée.
- Iruai comes from the Shasta Indigenous word for Scott Valley in Siskiyou County, California.

## Food pairing

High refreshing acidity and vibrant red fruit aromas make this rosé exceptionally versatile with fried foods and creamy dips, while easily standing up to light spices, tangy salsas, and savory charcuterie.

## Wine making process

Crafted according to natural winemaking methodologies, the organically farmed grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation driven by native yeasts. Fermentation and maturation take place in neutral vessels to preserve the vibrant mountain fruit character. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with only minimal sulfur added at bottling.
