## About this wine

Created by NYC sommelier David Gordon, longtime Wine Director at Manhattan's acclaimed Tribeca Grill, the Jeanne Marie line is named after Gordon's wife. Introduced in the 1990s as one of the original sommelier-crafted value wines in the United States, it was designed to deliver authentic, food-friendly California character. Gordon leveraged his deep industry relationships with top producers to source exceptional fruit, establishing a tradition of quality and value that continues today through anonymous partnerships with premium California growers.

## Food pairing

The moderate alcohol, supple tannins, and balanced freshness of this California Cabernet Sauvignon make it ideal for rich protein dishes. The richness of beef or lamb softens the tannin structure, while the medium-plus fruit intensity complements savory reductions and aged cheeses.

## Wine making process

Fruit for this cuvée is sourced primarily from Paso Robles (85%) with the remainder from the Central Coast (15%). Fermentation is split evenly, with 50% carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and 50% in neutral oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 10 months in 100% neutral oak barrels to preserve pristine red and dark fruit flavors, fresh acidity, and fine tannins without heavy oak influence.
