## About this wine

Tenuta J. Hofstätter, managed by the fourth generation of the family, is rooted in Tramin (Termeno) in Alto Adige—historically recognized as the namesake birthplace of the Gewürztraminer grape. The cuvée 'Joseph' pays tribute to Josef Hofstätter, who founded the estate in 1907. Sourced from steep, well-ventilated hillside vineyards, this wine reflects the balance between cool alpine winds and warm Mediterranean influences characteristic of Südtirol.

## Food pairing

The pronounced aromatics, rich body, and elevated alcohol of this Gewürztraminer match well with aromatic spices, rich shellfish, and pungent washed-rind or blue cheeses.

## Wine making process

Grapes are gently crushed upon arrival at the winery and undergo a cold skin maceration for a few hours prior to soft pressing. Clarification of the must is achieved through natural sedimentation, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages on fine lees in stainless steel vats to preserve pure varietal fruit, freshness, and aromatic clarity with no oak contact.
