## About this wine

L'Abrunet Blanc is a vibrant, low-intervention white wine crafted by Celler Frisach, an estate run by brothers Francesc and Joan Ferré in Corbera d'Ebre, Catalonia. The name 'L'Abrunet' translates to 'swallow' in Catalan, paying homage to the migratory birds that signal the arrival of spring and youth. Representing the fifth generation of grape growers, the brothers focus on highlighting the unique heritage of Terra Alta, the global capital of Garnacha Blanca. The estate is fully committed to organic farming, dry farming, and preserving the historical memory of their land through honest, unadorned wines.

## Interesting facts

- L'Abrunet means swallow in Catalan, symbolizing the fresh, youthful, and migratory spirit of this entry-level range.
- Celler Frisach is located in Terra Alta, a Catalan region responsible for producing approximately one-third of the world's Garnacha Blanca.
- The vineyards are heavily influenced by the Cierzo, a dry northwesterly wind that naturally keeps the grapes healthy and free of disease.

## Food pairing

This fresh, medium-bodied Garnacha Blanca thrives alongside Mediterranean cuisine. Its vibrant acidity cuts through the oiliness of grilled seafood and olive-oil-rich dishes, while its subtle herbal and stone fruit notes complement fresh herbs, goat cheese, and light tapas.

## Wine making process

This wine is made from 100% Garnacha Blanca (locally known as Vernatxa Blanca) sourced from organically farmed vineyards. The grapes are harvested manually to ensure optimal selection. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure, fresh varietal character of the grape. To maintain its natural energy and texture, the wine undergoes minimal intervention, is unfined, and is bottled with very low sulfur additions.
