## About this wine

Domaine Bruno Duchêne is a legendary micro-domaine based in Banyuls-sur-Mer in the Roussillon region of southern France. Bruno Duchêne, originally a wild mushroom distributor from the Loire Valley, fell in love with the extreme coastal vineyards of the Côte Vermeille and began making wine here in the early 2000s. The cuvée 'La Luna' is named after the dog Bruno had when he first established his estate. Duchêne is also a pioneering force in the natural wine community, having spearheaded 'Les 9 Caves', a shared cellar space that supports small independent winemakers in Banyuls.

## Food pairing

The bright, lively acidity and subtle saline minerality cut effortlessly through tender fats in cured meats and shellfish, while complementing fresh citrus and herbal elements in light summer dishes.

## Wine making process

Sourced from steep, terraced vineyards planted on dark schist soils, farmed strictly organically without synthetic chemicals. Harvested entirely by hand in small crates, the grapes undergo gentle pressing or short maceration before spontaneous fermentation driven by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and open vats. The wine ages for six months, split between stainless steel tanks to keep fruit freshness and neutral old oak barrels. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero added sulfites.
