## About this wine

Land of Saints is a collaborative winemaking project founded by Angela and Jason Osborne alongside local winemaker Manuel Cuevas. The trio met during the 2013 harvest and united over a shared passion for Santa Barbara County terroir. The winery name pays homage to Jason's birthplace of Cornwall, England—historically known as the 'Land of Saints'—and nods to California's many cities named after saints. Sourced from seven distinct vineyard sites across Santa Barbara County, this release highlights cool-climate coastal viticulture.

## Interesting facts

- The winery name was inspired by Cornwall, England, which entered the 'Age of Saints' in 410 AD.
- The founders named the project after counting 33 cities and towns in California beginning with 'San' or 'Santa'.
- Fruit from Sta. Rita Hills and Santa Maria Valley included 25% whole clusters during fermentation.

## Food pairing

The vibrant natural acidity, moderate body, and fine-grained tannins of this Pinot Noir make it exceptionally versatile with lean red meats, poultry, oily fish like salmon, and earth-driven mushroom dishes without overpowering their delicate flavors.

## Wine making process

Fruit for this vintage was harvested from seven vineyards across Arroyo Grande, Santa Maria Valley, and Sta. Rita Hills. The Arroyo Grande grapes were completely de-stemmed, while Santa Maria Valley and Sta. Rita Hills lots were fermented with 25% whole-cluster inclusion. The single-vineyard lots were vinified separately and aged for 13 months in neutral 59-gallon oak barriques. One moon cycle prior to bottling, the individual components were blended together in stainless steel tanks to maintain fresh fruit purity.
