## About this wine

The Crissante Alessandria Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 is a 100% Nebbiolo from the Langhe DOC appellation in Piedmont, Italy. The Crissante Alessandria winery, founded in 1958, is a family-run estate located in La Morra. The vineyards, planted in 2009, are situated on clay and calcareous soils at an elevation of 250 meters. The current generation, brothers Alberto and Luca, manage the 6-hectare property. This wine represents a continuation of the family's legacy, focusing on the expression of the Nebbiolo grape from their specific terroir.

## Interesting facts

- Vineyards planted in 2009 on clay and calcareous soils.
- Harvested manually in the first week of October.
- A family estate with roots stretching back to 1958.
- Produced in limited quantities, around 1200 bottles.

## Food pairing

The wine's medium+ body and well-defined tannins are well-suited to complement the richness of protein-based dishes, softening the tannins and enhancing the savory flavors. Its bright acidity can cut through richer sauces and fatty meats, providing balance. The red fruit and floral notes in the wine can echo or contrast with herbs and earthy ingredients in the food.

## Wine making process

The Crissante Alessandria Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes harvested manually in early October. Fermentation occurs over approximately 10 days in temperature-controlled steel tanks with skin contact. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 12 months in second-use 225-liter barrels. The winery is a family-run estate established in 1958, with the current generation focusing on traditional winemaking methods with precision.
