## About this wine

Azienda Agricola Eugenio Bocchino is a small, family-run estate located in La Morra, within the heart of the Langhe region in Piedmont. Founded in 1997 by Eugenio Bocchino and his wife Cinzia, the winery is dedicated to expressing the pure, unadulterated character of the Nebbiolo grape through organic and biodynamic farming practices. Certified as 'Vino Biologico', this Langhe Nebbiolo is crafted from estate-grown grapes, offering a vibrant, terroir-driven alternative to the estate's more structured Barolo bottlings.

## Interesting facts

- The estate was founded in 1997 by Eugenio Bocchino and Cinzia, starting with just 5.5 hectares of vineyards in La Morra.
- The initials 'E.B.' on the label pay homage to the founder, Eugenio Bocchino, reflecting a deeply personal, artisanal approach.
- Certified organic (Vino Biologico), the estate utilizes biodynamic preparations to foster biodiversity and soil health.

## Food pairing

Nebbiolo's high acidity and robust tannins require dishes with rich proteins and fats to soften the structure, while its earthy, floral profile pairs beautifully with mushrooms, truffles, and game.

## Wine making process

The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested from organically farmed vineyards in La Morra. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using native yeasts, accompanied by a gentle maceration period to extract color and fine tannins without over-extraction. The wine is aged in a combination of large neutral Slavonian oak casks (botti) and concrete vats to preserve the bright primary fruit and floral characteristics of the grape while developing structural complexity. It is bottled with minimal sulfur and without heavy filtration.
