## About this wine

Domaine Marie et Vincent Tricot is situated in Orcet, in the Auvergne region of central France. After studying winemaking in Beaujolais and learning alongside natural wine icons like Marcel Lapierre and Jules Chauvet, Vincent relocated here with Marie in 2002. They were drawn by the region's ancient volcanic soils and pre-phylloxera vine heritage. Since 2003, they have farmed organically and winemaking is strictly non-interventionist.

## Interesting facts

- Vincent Tricot studied winemaking in Beaujolais where he met natural wine legend Marcel Lapierre.
- The 'MC' designation stands for Macération Carbonique (carbonic maceration).
- The 2025 vintage blends 75% Pinot Noir with 25% Pineau d'Aunis for added peppery charm.

## Food pairing

With light tannins, high acidity, and vibrant fruitiness, this light red demands dishes with moderate weight and good savory depth. Acid-driven reds complement roasted poultry, pork, duck, earthy mushrooms, and cured meats without overwhelming subtle flavors.

## Wine making process

The cuvée designation 'MC' stands for Macération Carbonique. Whole grape clusters undergo approximately 6 days of carbonic maceration before spontaneous fermentation driven entirely by native yeasts in neutral fiberglass vats. No commercial yeasts, enzymes, or sulfur additions are used at any stage, and the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
