## About this wine

Maison Glandien is a boutique micro-négociant project based in Meursault, founded by Berlin-born winemaker Tino Kuban. After acquiring valuable winemaking experience alongside iconoclastic producers such as Pierre Overnoy in the Jura and Jean-Yves Bizot in Vosne-Romanée, Kuban established his own cellar operations. Les Roches Rouge is sourced from tiny, organically farmed plots in the Côte Chalonnaise, showcasing terroir purity through low-intervention winemaking.

## Interesting facts

- Winemaker Tino Kuban honed his skills at iconic natural domaines like Pierre Overnoy and Jean-Yves Bizot.
- The grapes for this bottling were harvested at extraordinarily low yields of under 10 hl/ha.
- The winemaking relies completely on gravity, avoiding pumps and mechanical filters entirely.

## Food pairing

With its lithe structure, vibrant natural acidity, and silky tannins, this energetic Pinot Noir complements delicate white and red meats without overpowering them. Earthy mushroom accents and bright red fruit glazes harmonally complement the wine's lifted aromatics and fresh palate profile.

## Wine making process

Crafted from 100% whole clusters, the grapes undergo ambient yeast fermentation without synthetic inputs. Harvest yields were exceptionally restricted to under 10 hl/ha. Pressing is conducted gently via gravity using a vertical press, eliminating mechanical pumping or racking. The wine matures in neutral 228-liter Stockinger oak barrels and is bottled strictly by gravity without fining or filtration, receiving only a minute sulfur adjustment prior to release.
