## About this wine

Finca Parera is a Demeter-certified biodynamic estate located in Alt Penedès, Catalonia, managed by winemaker Rubén Parera. Operating as a holistic polyculture farm, the estate cultivates cherries, almonds, and olives alongside indigenous grape varieties. The Litrona project was created in collaboration with US importer Selections de la Viña as a tribute to the classic 1-liter beer bottles traditionally enjoyed in Spain, reimagining the format for low-intervention, crushable natural wines.

## Interesting facts

- Bottled exclusively in a 1-liter format inspired by Spanish beer litronas.
- Rubén Parera farms a polyculture estate with cherries, olives, and almonds alongside vineyards.
- Fermented and aged entirely in unlined concrete tanks with zero added sulfur.

## Food pairing

The wine's bright acidity and subtle skin-contact texture cut through rich tapas, fried foods, and seafood, while its fresh aromatic profile complements herbal seasonings and lean poultry.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested Xarel·lo Vermell grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in unlined cement vats, including one month of maceration on grape skins. The wine is aged on its fine lees in concrete tanks until summer. Bottled in a 1-liter format without fining, filtration, or added sulfur dioxide.
