## About this wine

Le Coste was founded in 2004 by former Roman lawyer Gianmarco Antonuzzi and French oenologist Clémentine Bouveron near Gradoli, overlooking Lake Bolsena in Lazio. Working biodynamically on iron-rich volcanic soils surrounded by forests and olive groves, they aim to restore local biodiversity and preserve old indigenous grape vines. Litrozzo Bianco is their iconic glou-glou natural white, packaged in a generous one-liter bottle designed as an unpretentious, highly drinkable expression of the Alta Tuscia region.

## Interesting facts

- Packaged in a generous 1-liter bottle designed as a refreshing wine for thirsty people.
- The playful label depicts two cheerful figures drinking directly from the bottle.
- Made from 50-year-old vines planted in volcanic soils around Lake Bolsena.

## Food pairing

The striking, vibrant acidity and subtle textural skin-contact grip cut effortlessly through rich Roman pasta sauces featuring cheese and cured meats like Carbonara or Cacio e Pepe. Meanwhile, its clean mineral profile harmonizes perfectly with fried seafood, savory vegetables, and light antipasti.

## Wine making process

Sourced from old field-blend vines averaging 50 years of age grown at 400–450 meters elevation. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with wild indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks without temperature control or synthetic inputs. One portion is directly pressed while another portion undergoes roughly 12 hours of skin maceration. The wine ages for 5 months in stainless steel and 7 months in bottle before release, bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfites.
