## About this wine

Azienda Agricola Le Coste was founded in 2004 by Gianmarco Antonuzi and Clémentine Bouveron in Gradoli, northern Lazio, overlooking Lake Bolsena. Working organically and biodynamically, Le Coste focuses on low-intervention winemaking and preserving local farming heritage. Litrozzo Rosso is their signature 1-liter cuvée bottled without DOC classification, celebrated for its high drinkability and vibrant expression of volcanic terroir.

## Interesting facts

- Bottled exclusively in 1-liter format, Litrozzo is crafted as a joyful, everyday table wine.
- The estate's vines grow in volcanic soils derived from the ancient Lake Bolsena volcano.
- Zero sulfites are added during production, keeping natural SO2 below 10 mg/L.

## Food pairing

The high acidity and supple tannins of this vibrant natural red cut through rich cheeses, tomato acidity, and savory cured meats, making it an ideal match for casual Italian fare like pizza and rustic pasta dishes.

## Wine making process

Grapes are hand-harvested from 30-year-old vines grown on iron-rich volcanic soils. Grapes are 100% destemmed and undergo spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts in stainless steel vats with 7 days of maceration. The wine ages 5 months in stainless steel tanks and 7 months in bottle before release. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero added sulfites.
