## About this wine

The Luna Estate Brut Rosé is a sparkling rosé from the Wairarapa region of New Zealand. Luna Estate's winemaking philosophy is built upon the sustainable stewardship of their land, aiming to produce wines that reflect the natural rhythms of their environment. The grapes are sourced from their Blue Rock Vineyard located south of Martinborough. The 2023 vintage was notably challenging due to weather patterns, requiring significant effort from the winemaking team. For the 2024 bottling, the wine is noted as being Vegan Sustainable.

## Food pairing

The wine's bright acidity and fresh berry notes complement the delicate flavors of shellfish and seafood. Its subtle richness can stand up to creamy sauces and richer preparations, while its refreshing character cuts through richness.

## Wine making process

The Luna Estate Brut Rosé is produced using a combination of winemaking techniques. For the 2023 vintage, free-run and lightly pressed juice underwent long, cool fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Simultaneously, harder pressed, darker juice was fermented in seasoned 500L oak barrels, with some barrels from their sparkling base wine stock incorporated into the final blend. The fruit for the 2023 Rosé was whole bunch pressed. Luna Estate's approach prioritizes the sustainable care of their land and aims to work in accordance with natural cycles.
