## About this wine

Maison Camille Blanc is an artisanal cuvée selection created by Famille Ravoire, an independent family-owned producer based in Salon-de-Provence. This bottling highlights the terroir of AOP Rasteau, a renowned Cru in the Southern Rhône Valley. The vineyards feature 40-year-old vines rooted in sunny, stone-strewn hillside terraces covered with classic galets roulés, limestone, clay, and sand.

## Interesting facts

- Awarded Gold Medal at the Concours des Grands Vins de France à Mâcon in 2023.
- Aged entirely in concrete tanks for 10 months to avoid oak influence.
- Sourced from 40-year-old old vines grown on stone-covered terraces.

## Food pairing

The medium-plus body, structure, and alcohol of this Southern Rhône red require hearty protein-rich dishes. Rich fats in red meats and braised dishes balance the firm tannins, while savory Mediterranean herbs like garlic and rosemary echo the natural wild herb signature of the Rasteau terroir.

## Wine making process

The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity, followed by complete destemming. Vinification takes place over a traditional three-week maceration period with regular pumping-over and rack-and-return releases to extract fine tannins and color gently. The wine is aged for 10 months in concrete vats to maintain fruit purity without oak contact.
