## About this wine

Named after La Manta, the traditional woven garb worn by agricultural workers in Chile, this wine pays tribute to the people whose labor brings the harvest to life. Created as part of a collaboration between importer T. Edward Wines & Spirits and producer Viña Fray León, the brand's origins were guided by viticultural pioneer Pablo Morandé. Sourced from vineyards in Chile's Central Valley, the vines benefit from warm daytime sunshine balanced by cooling coastal airflow from the Pacific Ocean.

## Interesting facts

- Named in honor of La Manta, the traditional poncho worn by Chilean agricultural workers.
- Formulated in partnership with Pablo Morandé, the pioneer who first planted vines in Casablanca Valley.
- 100% cold-fermented in stainless steel without oak contact to preserve vibrant fruit purity.

## Food pairing

The high acidity and clean, herbaceous citrus profile of this Sauvignon Blanc excel when paired with fresh seafood, goat cheese, and green vegetables. The bright acidity cuts through delicate natural oils and balances fresh citrus or herb dressings.

## Wine making process

The grapes are harvested using a combination of manual and mechanical methods before undergoing optical sorting and pneumatic pressing. Under the direction of winemaker Jorge Martínez, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using cold fermentations to maximize primary fruit aromas. The wine sees no oak aging and undergoes no malolactic fermentation, ensuring maximum crispness and varietal fidelity.
