## About this wine

Martha Stoumen is a first-generation natural winemaker based in Northern California dedicated to organic farming, native yeast fermentations, and low-intervention cellar practices. Post Flirtation White is crafted as an approachable natural white blend sourced from multi-county California vineyards. The fruit comes from wind-cooled, sandy soils in Contra Costa County alongside old dry-farmed vines in Mendocino County, bringing together unexpected grape varieties into a balanced, vibrant bottling.

## Interesting facts

- The Colombard blend component is harvested from dry-farmed head-trained vines planted back in 1948.
- Press-tumbling the grapes before pressing adds a faint phenolic texture without making it a full orange wine.
- With a total SO2 of only 26 mg/L, this wine is unfined, unfiltered, and natural sediment is expected in the bottle.

## Food pairing

Vibrant acidity, bright citrus flavors, and a light body make this wine an ideal pairing for delicate seafood, lemon-accented poultry, and fresh goat cheese, while its subtle texture handles light herbal sauces beautifully.

## Wine making process

The 2023 vintage combines 40% Roussanne, 28% Marsanne, 24% Muscat Blanc, and 9% Colombard. Muscat Blanc, Roussanne, and Marsanne undergo press-tumbling for subtle skin contact prior to pressing, followed by co-fermentation in stainless steel and 6 months of fine lees aging. The Colombard is pressed immediately, fermented separately in stainless steel, and aged in neutral vessels before final blending. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with low total sulfur (26 mg/L).
