## About this wine

Marthe Henry, granddaughter of renowned Meursault vigneron Pierre Boillot, left a journalism career in Paris to return to her ancestral roots in Meursault. The 'Les Vignots' lieu-dit sits high on the upper slope above the village of Pommard, where limestone marls produce an elegant, mineral-driven expression of Pinot Noir with fine, silky tannins.

## Interesting facts

- Marthe Henry left a journalism career in Paris in 2013 to revive winemaking in her grandfather's Meursault cellars.
- The winemaking process is entirely sulfur-free until a minimal dose is added at bottling.
- High-altitude slopes in Les Vignots yield a silky, fresh expression of Pommard rather than rustic, heavy tannins.

## Food pairing

The vivid acidity and finely sculpted tannins of high-elevation Pommard harmonize effortlessly with rich poultry and savory red meats. Earthy elements like wild mushrooms complement the terroir-driven nuances of this natural Pinot Noir, while the vibrant acidity cuts through fat in dishes like roasted duck.

## Wine making process

Grapes are hand-harvested with rigorous sorting. Vinification is performed with native yeasts using whole-cluster inclusion in tank without added sulfur during fermentation or aging. Vatting lasts ~15 days with gentle pump-overs and light foot treadings. The wine is aged for 18 months on fine lees in neutral 228-liter French oak barrels without racking, before being bottled lightly filtered with minimal sulfur addition.
