## About this wine

Michele Reverdito founded his estate in 1999, managing vineyards in the prestigious communes of La Morra and Verduno. The Ascheri vineyard, located in La Morra, is renowned for producing Barolo of exceptional elegance and structural finesse. Reverdito's philosophy centers on sustainable viticulture, minimal intervention, and expressing the unique terroir of each individual parcel. This single-vineyard bottling represents a classic expression of La Morra's clay-limestone soils, yielding a wine that balances power with a remarkably perfumed and accessible character.

## Interesting facts

- The Ascheri vineyard is a historic Cru (MGA) shared between the communes of La Morra and Roddi.
- Michele Reverdito practices sustainable farming, avoiding systemic chemical treatments in the vineyards.
- The 2019 vintage in Barolo is highly acclaimed for its classic structure, vibrant acidity, and exceptional aging potential.

## Food pairing

The high acidity and robust tannins of Barolo require rich, savory dishes with ample fat and protein to soften the wine's structure. Earthy flavors like mushrooms and truffles mirror the tertiary development of Nebbiolo, while slow-cooked meats complement its power.

## Wine making process

The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested from the Ascheri MGA. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with extended maceration on the skins to extract color, tannins, and complex aromatics. The wine is aged for 24 months in large oak casks (botti), adhering to traditional Piedmontese aging practices, followed by additional refinement in the bottle before release. This gentle oak treatment preserves the bright fruit profile and floral nuances of the Nebbiolo grape.
